Knowledge Wanted: Sharing/Promoting Your Work on the Gel Inspirations Facebook Community

Knowledge Wanted: Sharing/Promoting Your Work on the Gel Inspirations Facebook Community

Do you have a YouTube channel? Do you teach courses with a gel plate and/or collage emphasis, etc.?

I often have legitimately helpful information I want to share in Facebook groups, but I’m always a bit nervous about getting canned for shameless self-promotion.

I want this community to uplift all gel print artists, so I created a summary of what you can post. There is a difference between shameless self-promotion and being genuinely helpful while giving you credit for your contributions.

Links? Yes!
If you contribute anything, please include a link to your channel, website, Instagram—wherever group members can learn more or read more about you.

Files? Yes please!
If you have an educational flyer, graphic, informational sheet, etc. pertaining to gel printing or collage that you would like to be made available in the downloadable files tab of the Gel Inspirations Community Page on Facebook, let me take a look. Send it to me and I will upload it for the group if appropriate.

Examples:

  • Chart of best papers for various techniques
  • List of steps for image transfers with BrandzInks

If it contains helpful information and is neatly done, it is welcome. Note that the file download tab in groups does not contain a place for notes (after the initial post), so feel free to put your website on it or embed a link in the actual document. If appropriate, add a second “About Me” page. (Please don’t have 1/2 pages of info and 4 pages about yourself.) That his shameless.

Images? Possibly.
As a general rule, group members are asked to only post artwork created, at least in some part, from Gel Inspirations image transfers. There are plenty of places on Facebook for people to just post their perfect art.

That said, for those who can educate or inspire others about image transfers in general, unique gel printing ideas, or collage, please upload it and I am likely to approve it.

Unacceptable: “How to layer,” “how to stencil,” etc., that are unrelated to Gel Inspirations transfers or collage bundle designs.

Videos? Possibly.
As a general rule, please apply the same thinking I ask for with images above. Feel free to link to videos and not go through the bother of also uploading to Facebook, unless that’s your thing.

Priority is given to those who feature Gel Inspirations transfers.

Thank you for your contribution to uplifting Gel Inspirations Community members. I realize, as it is a new group, there are not many members yet, but your contributions will help grow the audience you are marketing to.

One No No: Please do not ever give-away my image transfer or collage designs to your followers on any social media or other site. If you wish to discuss a special promotion, let’s chat.

Not sure if you should post something? Send it to me via email or Facebook and I’ll let you know.

Thank you,
Nola
